Trainee Programme

at Gebr. Alexander

Gebr. Alexander is one of the brass instrument makers that offer a traditional trainee programme. The apprenticeship to become a brass instrument maker lasts three years and is divided into practical phases in our workshop and theoretical phases at the Oscar-Walcker-Schule in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart.

If you are interested in an apprenticeship with our company, please send us your application documents latest by january of the same year. The apprenticeship always begins on 1th August. Excellent skills in the German language are a requirement.

We are very proud of the several hundred young people we have trained to become brass wind instrument makers over the past decades. The quality of our training has been confirmed time and again by prizes and awards.

Gebr. Alexander received five "Oscars for Education"

Since 2012 the "Friends of the Oscar-Walker-Schule Ludwigsburg e.V." has awarded the "Oscar for Education" to the companies of the year's best in the trainee programme. Gebr. Alexander has already been awarded the "Oscar for Education" as brass wind instrument makers five times in recognition of its outstanding performance and special training success.

In 2017 we received an award from the Rhine-Hesse Chamber of Skilled Crafts for our high level of commitment and for increasing the attractiveness of vocational training.
